A CUTE LOVE STORY
So when I was in Santa Barbara I met up with a women that I lived with for a year. She was about 60 when i lived with her 7 years ago. Her husband had just passed away and she was very lonely in her large 5 bedroom house so she decided to take in students to keep company. I was her first border that she took in. We became good friends and we still keep in touch. Every once in a while i get a little package of homemade cookies mailed to me whereever i am living at the time. She is great. So anyway, I went to visit her when I was in Santa Barbara. I met her in her house and with her was a man. An older man who looked roughly about the same age as her. As we caught up oI found out their story. They were high school sweethearts in Bakersfield (a large desert town in CA). They dated a little in high school but when they graduated they went their seperate ways. They each got married to different people, had four kids each, and both spouses passed away. 50 years later, the same week they both contacted each other indepenatly. One wrote a letter and the other called and hung up several times until she answered the phone. She anwsered the phone the same day the letter arrived in his mailbox. So they decided to meet. They haven't seen each other since they attended their ten year high school reunion. When they met their first reactions were, "Wow, they look old!" But after the initial shock, they spent the afternoon laughing, catching up, and holding hands. It was love again. It took several hours for them to fall in love all over again. Now, they are planning to get married and they are figuring out which house they are going to live in. Their love is so strong. It is inspiring to single folk like me. I wonder who from high school I will meet in 40 years!! :) Something to hope for. hehe
